Zibs For Sale (Hardcover)

Eee-ahh is in search of her favorite food: Zibs. She takes Shirl for a ride in her flying saucer to find them. Shirl bites one she thinks is a free sample. The owner, Mr. Ba-Kerr, insists she pay for it, and he won't accept Earth money. She and Eee-ahh must wash dishes. But the bakery ship's engine dies. There is no hot water. Now, Shirl must fix the engine. To do so, she must take a wire out of her radio, that she uses to find directions. When she is done washing the dishes, Mr. Ba-Kerr takes her to a broken-down rocketship and tells her to fix it. Now, she's angry. Washing dishes should have been enough to pay for the Zib. But no. Mr. Ba-Kerr is gifting her the rocketship in payment for fixing his engine. Now Shirl has her own rocketship -- as soon as she can fix it.
