Using the metaphor of the Aborigines' walkabout, in this memoir the author tells how as a young Christian he tackles doubt and disagreement with the faith and becomes a minister. But he finds that he has not left issues with church dogma behind. His first steps take him to Unitarianism and to the UU ministry but it is not the end of his walkabout. He discovers a whole universe of ideas waiting for him. In contact with spirit guides he adopts their teaching and his walkabout is finally complete.
