Autism Redefined is a series that explores what it means to be autistic and changes the definitions currently in place. A is for Adventures is written about a little boy and how he has evolved and changed with each new challenge. He goes on adventures, he learns to adapt to his environment, and helps his parents understand how he thinks and views the world in new and amazing ways. As each book progresses, it delves deeper into different aspects of autism and hopefully provides a new perspective for other children on the spectrum. The goal is to also help the parents through their everyday challenges and understand that they are not alone. Children on the autism spectrum are unique and magical. They bring light and joy to the world and should be treasured. We live in a world that needs hope, kindness, and space for everyone to be who they were meant to be.A is for Adventures follows this young boy named Ruaidhri (Roo-ODD-Ree) throughout his fun packed day. He is challenged in unexpected ways, learns to sword fight, save his men, play with water, and feed birds. Throughout this he maintains his rigid routine for mealtimes, bathtime, and bedtime.
