Jamilah, scarred and traumatized by Somali tradition and ethnic conflict before being raised in the Midwest, is living in the fires of a personal hell that brutally feed on her body and heart, incinerating self-respect and dignity. Vincent, a man emotionally immobilized by tragic failure and condemned by the public, seeks solace in stonework.
