Natasha Barrows has had a crush on Derrick Parker ever since they were in high school but he never gave her a second look. Now a chance meeting brings them together again years later. Natasha discovers that her feelings haven't changed. She is still infatuated with his good looks and drawn in by his charm. Her sister warns her that Derrick is not the same little boy that she had a crush on in high school. Derrick frequents the newspaper headlines as Atlanta's most aggressive Defense Attorny who is said to be a known womanizer. Natasha ignores the warnings and decides to give Derrick a chance to be in her life. Once privy to his world she sees another side to him that she does not like. His possesive and controlling ways start to scare her. His clients consist of crooked politicians and drug dealers which puts them both in danger. Natasha decides she wants no part of that life but Derrick is a hard man to refuse. He has never lost a case and he has no intention of losing Natasha.
