Ergis Mecaj is 11 years old and lives in Euclid, Ohio. He is in the 5th grade and likes to write stories and poetry. He wrote his first popular poem, "Thank Goodness Santa Claus Could Swim" (which is in this book), when he was 8 years old. He has won awards twice from poetry contests.
