The Vamps are currently in a war with the Weres, fighting to keep their political dominance. In a desperate move, the Weres release a virus that has a one hundred percent mortality rate for the Vamps. Jace Markings has been commissioned by the government to create a cure for the virus that is killing their race, Vamps. In his race for the cure, Jace meets Skylar, a human that is currently on a supply run to gather supplies for her colony.
