Five friends begin the story on a trip to Las Vegas, where the main character meets his first obstacle and develops his first disorder of paranoia. In this trip he loses a friend and his sense of safety. Amal Thompson, the main character, goes on a rollercoaster ride of emotions while coming back into contact with old friends from school. He feels danger over his shoulder at all times. His suspicions are correct. This is a short story of about 30,000 words with twists, and climaxes galore.
