I read an article in 2012 about a mother who was trying to care for her special needs child and become so frustrated and overwhelmed that she killed her. If she would have had the assistance of federal and state programs to help her as well as an experienced person to give her advice this might not have happened. This gave me the motivation to finish my books so those families struggling to raise these demanding and difficult children will know there are resources and help available that can relieve the stress of everyday living.
