Darker Minds

Adam Adam is a pretty normal guy. He has a sister, he has a few friends. He also has the ability to read people's minds. When he turns fourteen, the Education for the Super-Naturally Gifted Act comes into effect, and he is placed into a school where he and children like him are taught how to use and control their powers. While he is there, however, he befriends some people who view their new place as less of a school, and more of a cage. Alexandra Her friends call her Lexi. Several years in the future from Adam's story, Alexandra lives in a world where Supers, as they are called, are common-place, and even privileged. This change came about due to the rise of a mysterious and powerful tyrant known only as the Ogre. He rules the Americas with an iron fist, and Alexandra is determined to take him down, no matter the cost.
