Willow Edwards is one of the many competitors with aspirations of winning an award at one of the nation's largest dog shows. Her life is fairly mundane until she meets Frank St. Germaine. Frank rescues a show dog from an abusive owner and is introduced into a strange world of politics, petty squabbles, and treachery. His relationship with Willow becomes a cat and mouse game he is not sure he wants to play, especially when he is pursued relentlessly by both an exquisite ballerina, and a beautiful professional handler who does not like to lose. This is a peek behind the scenes of a fascinating, and sometimes perilous world that is not for the faint-hearted.
