Adventures Of Benny The Dog

Benny the Dog is having a nice quiet day in his backyard until his friend Earl the Squirrel shows up and cries out, "This is the worst thing that could happen to the squirrels in this town!" As Earl explains, squirrels have always buried nuts in the ground in the summer so they'll have something to eat in the winter. In the past they just tried to remember where they'd hidden the nuts. But a few years ago they got themselves a laptop. Now, anytime a squirrel buries a nut, he or she enters into their laptop the location where it was buried. But last night, according to Earl, somebody stole the laptop. He pleads, "Will you help us? If we don't get that laptop back, there's a lot of squirrels in this town who aren't going to make it through the winter." And so Benny and Earl start out on an adventure to solve this crime. They have three main suspects: Ratty the Rat, Casey the Cat, and Billy the Bat. But which of them did this terrible deed? And where is the laptop now? They need to find all this out as soon as possible. Delightfully illustrated by Becky Cowley with the text by Jack Weyland, this book will be a favorite for children of all ages.
