Where Do You Live and Play?: A book about communities

This book is narrated by a little boy who explains the different communities (urban, rural, and suburban)to his peers. Each community has their identifiable features illustrated within this picture book. This book was written by a Texas educator who originally wrote it as a poem for a social studies lesson plan in college. She decided to turn it into a book for teachers and parents so that they could have it as an introduction to the different communities around us. This book correlates with the TEKS (Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills) and the common core education guidelines.
