This is the record of one writer's struggle with bi-polar disorder and a tribute to the millions of other men and women who struggle with mental illness every day. Perhaps by sharing these slivers of emotion, a dialogue can begin to open, and we can recognize the strength within each of us, even if we are two steps from being sane .
