Overview
Everything you want to know about the making of an Indie Sci-Fi film from a self-published comic book artist and self-funded, independent filmmaker's perspective. Bill Hughes was raised a good Southern, Christian boy in Houston Texas. He grew up in the shadows of NASA during the 1960s space race and eventually became an internationally renowned comic book publisher and Star Wars artist. He turned down opportunities to move to Hollywood and stuck to his dream of making his own movies and telling his own stories. This book chronicles the making of Bill's first feature-length epic Sci-Fi film Matt Mercury, Plot of the Galactic Mastermind! With nothing more than his skills, a credit card and the determination to succeed, Bill and his wife Heidi have discovered the secrets to making films that look like those with multi-million dollar budgets and distributing them on modern digital platforms and beyond! Bill tells all in this occasionally opinionated, yet fully exposed exploration of the storyteller's craft. No secrets are kept as this book describes every detail of Bill's journey to making money in the Indie film business!
