The Blue Crayon

Ever since I can remember Dolphins have been man's best friend. I can remember long ago Dolphins were used in the time of War and today we use Dolphins more than ever, everything from Entertainment to research and even for health reasons. That's exactly why this story is so important, no matter where you are in life, rich or poor, happy or sad, healthy or disabled, this story hits all of us because we all know someone who is disabled and since this story is based on actual events, we feel the connection. A story of a little 12 year old girl named, GABRILLE DAMON. Gabby's Doctor is Dr. Braden, Chief of Pediatrics at the Hospital in Chicago, Gabby's doctor for the past six years and he is also the Lead Board member of the largest producing Pharmaceutical Company in the world. He continues and is very adamant that medicating Gabby is the ONLY way to treat her disability of Autism. After many years of no success, no results, Gabby continues to take her medication in the form of pills, pills by the handful until NOW her parents cannot take it anymore. Gabby's parents, Beth and Glenn Damon are just a normal Middle American family who are becoming more and more frustrated and on the verge of panic seeing their daughter slipping farther away into a depression. Beth desperately looks on the internet day in and day out looking for something, anything. Suddenly, on the computer DOLPHIN INNERVERSE appears on the screen. ?Dolphin therapy for Neurologically disturb children'. This is a center for children with disabilities that interact with dolphins for their therapy instead of using medications in pill form or other forms. The Dolphin Innerverse has over a year waiting list for children with disabilities to come and work with the dolphins. Gabby has had a relationship with dolphins in the past, listening to dolphin sounds, music, and then drawing in crayon images that she interprets from listening to these sounds. One of Gabby's drawings gets the attention of Doctor Roth at the INNERVERSE, a drawing the Doctor himself drew back in the early 1970s and yes, it has lots of color. This gets the Damon family an early visit to the facility. At the Dolphin Innerverse there is a Dolphin named LUCAS, Doctor Roth's prized dolphin so to speak, who develops what looks like a friendship with Gabby. After about a week with no results, frustrations set in as nothing helps Gabby at all, or at least it looks that way. The Damon's head home as Gabby's Doctor, Doctor Braden stands firm with his diagnoses of Gabby and demands that the PILLS are her only hope for treatment and to act like a normal little girl for the rest of her life. Doctor Roth continues to analyze Gabby's drawings. Five Drawings were sent to him but as we can see he's only going over four drawings; these four are in more complete detail. Needless to say, and from what we see by these drawings, Gabby is not just a normal little girl. After weeks of waiting and seeing the toll the medication continues to take on their daughter the Damon''s finally get another reply from Dr. ROTH, in fact, Doctor Roth reminds us of a(Robin Williams-same look- same everything) type of gentleman, he has learned more about Gabby''s drawings, more details and in the case of Doctor Roth, he sees the messages and why she's drawn these and at this time. He insists the family fly to back to Florida ASAP. The family returns and is given a bungalow at the Innerverse, and this is where the FUN really begins!!! Gabby through LUCAS unleashes her drawings. Overnight and with everyone sleeping Gabby again visits Lucas for their nightly swim and what looks like communications. In Gabby's room from floor to ceiling, wall to wall Gabby has drawn in every color you can imagine. The relationship between Gabby and Doctor Roth, the many twists and turns that they share between themselves, this in turns becomes one of the lead NEWS stories of all times. The room is full of Interpreters, Government Officials, and Experts in Biblical fields from several different denominations. The messages that Lucas has shared with Gabby are all exposed!! VERY TOP SECRET messages from LUCAS. Doctors and scientists are amazed and baffled at how this child could know these things! Some EXPERTS think, Gabby could be the missing link between Humans and all Biblical interpretations of the unknown. Really? Doctor Roth goes over very carefully every photo. Off to the side, Gabby is drawing another photo in BLUE CRAYON. Someone mentions that this drawing is possibly a date that is interpreted in The Bible. After seeing the completed drawing; not a word was said. The Damon's, all they wanted is to see Gabby get every opportunity available to be just a normal child without taking all the meds in pill form. How's that working?
