This book is about how people cope with differences and disabilities. Spud is a dog with a rare disability called Cerebellar Ataxia. His owner has it too. Spud and Amy got it for different reasons. Both struggle with how to deal with it daily. The public needs to know what ataxia is. Right now there is no cure for it and research to cure it coniinues. People will not help if they don't understand it. Spud tries to explain his differences.
