The Annals Of Blantyre

The 'Annals of Blantyre' was first published in 1885 but fell out of publication in the early 20th Century. Written by 19th Century Blantyre minister Rev Stewart Wright, about the history of Blantyre, South Lanarkshire, Scotland, the book had a specific interest, primarily to the people of Blantyre and has been enjoyed by several generations. Explore life in Blantyre, Scotland in the 18th and 19th Centuries as written at that time. Paul Veverka of the community history archive, 'Blantyre Project' has set out to republish this old book by transcribing it exactly as it was written in 1885, together with the original illustrations and making the book available to readers again in an affordable manner. All financial proceeds from the purchase of this book are going to local Blantyre charities and good causes.
