Uncommon Sense Or The 21St Century Federalist

It's time to face facts. Congress is broken. In recent years, elected federal officials have gotten so little done that one might ask whether they have outlived their usefulness. Instead of addressing the numerous issues that plague this country from within and without, Congress has devolved into a body whose main functions appear to be finger-pointing, self-aggrandizing, and securing reelection. Congress is the opposite of progress and should be abolished. Will this be difficult? Sure, but J. H. Thompson has specific ideas for how to implement this new government and how it will function, which he lays out with impressive clarity. The Founding Fathers set out to create a more perfect union. This nation wasn't perfect after the adoption of the Constitution, and it's not perfect now. Creating a more perfect union is an ongoing project that requires constant work and adaptation. As times change, so should the means by which we govern ourselves.
