Lullaby For Lakeside

Every summer, Claire visits Auntie Cree at her home at Lakeside, a small northern Ohio town on the shores of Lake Erie. And every summer, the town teachers the young girl something new about life. As Claire forms new friendships and delas with the intense challenges of growing up, the residents of Lakeside likewise grow and change and mature. Like the rest of America in the 1960s, Lakeside deals with racism, anti-Semitism, and homophobia -- and each time, the community finds a way to come together and overcome any differences. A female real-estate agent bravely claims her right to work in a man's world. A mother's suicide threatens to claim her son's life as well. Two elderly ladies fall in love and shock the town's morally conservative residents.
