Confessions Of A Brown Girl

There are so many "Brown" girls out there who have experienced typical cultural drama and are suffering from it, mainly after marriage. Desi people, also known as "South Asians", tend to be very narrow minded and judgmental which has led to so many misunderstandings. Most Brown people are just not ready to accept other cultural norms and will not change their mentality even if they live in a Western country. Typical Desi's will take their culture to the grave, even if it causes the worst of problems. Bollywood, Indian food and Desi clothes are the great things about being Brown. What brings the image and culture down however, is the backward mentality, high expectations and unnecessary drama. Life is not about impressing everyone all the time, however Brown people care too much about what people say and think and that is the root problem in Desi's. Unfortunately, the girls get the worst end of the stick and no one wants to admit the ugly truth.
