Ghostwriter, Noah King, stumbles into a mysteriously toxic mix of mustard gas experiments, fossil beds, greed, and romance, and gets beaten because of it. All because he came to the town of Cache Creek, British Columbia, during "Graffiti Days" to buy an old Jeep Cherokee. A stranger in town, he reveals the "cash" of Cache Creek while threatened by a rifle-toting wheeler-dealer and comforted by the affections of two women. As complicated as the story gets, in the end all mysteries resolve in a surprisingly simple way, but with a twist.
