Apathy is a plague that is spreading throughout our churches. It tears down the lives of the Redeemed and destroys churches from within. Apathy is contagious! Now more than ever, we need churches to stand up against this horrible disease. We need every born-again child of God to step up to their responsibilities in the church. We need to sacrifice our lives. We need to have a renewed mind. We need to find out our spiritual gifts and use them. Romans 12 is a discourse on the member's part in the local church. The Bible teaches that every member serves a critical role in the functioning of a healthy church. Churches are not organizations. They are organisms-living, functioning, breathing, caring, serving, loving. This book serves as a study to help born-again believers in the local church understand their roles as not only members of the local church but members of each other as well. "So we, being many, are one body in Christ, and every one members one of another." -Romans 12:5 Saved at the age of 7 and called to preach at 17, Luke has a passion for the preaching and teaching of sound Bible doctrine. Luke is also a mathematician and works in the field of mathematics education research. As a mathematician, he appreciates sound truth, but as a born-again believer, he appreciates how that even when man's logic fails, the infallible Word of God still stands firm. He enjoys drawing attention to the handiwork of God, displaying the precision, order, wisdom, and creativity of the Creator. Luke has served in children's and youth ministries and is currently serving as an associate pastor at Parkwood Baptist Church in Greenville, SC.
