The Hugging Trees

The Hugging Trees are real and live in our neighborhood here in Ames, Iowa. Inspired by their unique bond, I wrote a story as a Christmas present to my granddaughters Katelyn and Maggie when they were eight and six years old, respectively. I wanted them to know that on their own they can do great things but there will be times when they could use some help, support, or a word of encouragement. Remember then that your sister is forever there for you. It is at those times of need that the unconditional love and support from each other will make you unstoppable! After reading the story that Christmas morning, my family members encouraged me to share The Hugging Trees story with everyone. I hope you enjoyed it. Hank Kohler
