Light And Dark Doorways

Midway into the twentieth Century a young man who is 13 years old is caught in a very bad storm and lightning strikes very near him and brings him more than a electrical shock. He is able to do things a normal boy his age cannot do and early on he learns to deal with its consequences. His sister has the same abilities, and more of them, which he is unaware. Evil lay before them and with the light they overcome the darkness that followed their family before they were born. After graduation, the young man goes to work with a local scientist, finds a journal about an earthly realm, and learns how to enter it and return. While there, he sees the darkness and learns about his past and the light that protect him.
