Overview

Johanan is a fisherman who dreams of following a famous rabbi. His mother wants him to settle down and get married. His brother wants him to quit dreaming and get on with some work. But when Johanan sets off to visit the most famous rabbi in Israel, nothing turns out as he expected. "The Scruffy Disciple" retells the story of Jesus in its authentic setting, among the Jewish men and women who lived, loved and laughed in 1st century Palestine.
