The Mission Decision

Through many prophets, the Living Jesus Christ has called every worthy and able young man to serve a mission. Every young woman who has the desire to serve a mission is called of Him, too. Serving a mission is a special privilege and a gift from God, reserved for those who have earned His trust. It is not coincidence, but by divine design, that these LDS youth have been introduced to the gospel of Jesus Christ early in life. Their development of testimony comes as they seek to know the Savior, hear the Holy Ghost, and respond to personal revelation. The Mission Decision is meant to encourage LDS youth (with their parents) to study and put in the spiritual work to gain confirmation of their unique calling from the Lord to serve a valiant mission. With this, they will choose to serve not by culture, but because they love Jesus Christ and sense their important role in gathering Israel before His return.
