Asteroid miners Moreland Zin and Sam Lightborn (of the mining ship Rockhound) set out to investigate the strange disappearance of their eccentric friend Abram T. Ferman. Abram has inexplicably vanished while searching for the legendary Gammelgormium Asteroid, a mysterious rock rumored to be filled with exotic super-heavy stable elements.
