My yoga experience began over 30 years ago when invited to join a friend on a six-week Hatha yoga course. Although a little nervous knowing nothing about yoga and feeling totally out of my comfort zone, my friend and I, open to a new experience, drove the short distance to the local yoga shala (studio). The serene environment impacted me immediately, slowing down my manic life for an hour every week for those six weeks.
