The Black Woods are trees borne from the seeds of sorcery, trees given unnatural life from the fertilizing spread of decaying magic, trees borne of the residue from the Powder Wars of years long past. The Black Woods have sprouted all over the world in isolated growths of deeply rooted, thick-trunked trees. There is a midnight blackness to the trees, a coal-black darkness of bark to them that covers these gnarled trees and the land they inhabit in a layer of permanent shadow.This is but one story of what happened within these clusters of Black Woods¿
