A Song of Strength

The old ways are sacred and should never be forgotten. At fourteen, Chione, shaman-in-training, is struggling to master her gifts before the New Blood Ceremony. When she learns that her best friend's brother is to be the next sacrifice, she makes a deal with the gods to save the lives of her people.
