The Magic of Music Theory Pre-Reading A Violin

The Magic of Music Theory is a workbook series for string players to teach music theory, aural skills, and composition. Students will learn music theory from the perspective of the violin fingerboard! This series reinforces concepts taught in the lesson with workbook pages, games, and activities to do at home. Students will learn music alphabet, all about the string family, right hand versus left hand, to identify 1st position A and E string fingerboard pitches, to draw and identify basic note values, and dynamic symbols. Aural skills covered in this book are high and low, loud and soft, same or different, and to identify open strings A or E. Use this series for private violin instruction, or use in a group setting. The book for each string instrument is written using that instrument's clef and that instrument's fingerboard.
