To overplay one's hand was originally a term used in playing card games. But it means to be so overconfident that a person makes foolish choices, decisions, and moves. Lord, let me be so filled with the Holy Spirit that the enemy underestimates me and overestimates his own position. Lord, let the devil overplay his hand against me, so that he loses, and I win, in the Name of Jesus.
