When I wrote these thoughts and poems it was just after my first son's death. God gave me the outlet to write, surprising, because I was not a writer and I certainly did not write poems. Four years after my first son died by his own hands, I lost my other son in a car accident. He was to be 20 three days later. It was by no accident that I wrote, rather it was by the grace and love of God who gave me a way to express my thoughts and feelings. I hung on to God like never before, always looking up for His guidance and mercy. God's gift of writing was a blessing that helped me through these horrific times. Over the years I shared these writings with friends who lost loved ones. It is by their encouragement I share these with you - thought provoking, reflective and yes, funny.
