This book is developed to enhance the learning experiences specifically for left-handed first graders. The book primarily covers Math, Art and Reading studies. A handwriting section is included in each chapter for the purpose of cultivating a neat writing style which will transfer into a well-organized note-taking skill down the road. The progress of Math and Reading is a little advanced for average first graders in this book which, however, matches the statistic of intellectual developments of lefty children who, with more tendency of "right-brained think", are said to be more intuitive, thoughtful, subjective, and creative. Statistically, 10% of Americans are left-handed, which is about 32 million out of 322 million population. There are many famous left handed people, Julia Roberts, Bruce Willis, Oprah Winfrey, Robert De Niro, Albert Einstein, Bill Gates, and David Rockefeller, just to name a few. Also, among the last 15 elected presidents, 5 of them are left-handed, 8 are right handed, and 2 are ambidextrous. So at least 33% of elected presidents are lefties and the percentage is much higher than the 10% of lefty population in the United States. This number is statistically significant and probably means something, don't you think? Teachers have permissions to copy and distribute pages from this book for classroom use.
