Sowing Spiritual Seeds attempts to equip, motivate, and encourage Christians to be responsible and active participants in the Great Commission in Matthew 28:18-20. Jesus gave the assignment to His apostles to continue the work of the church that He had started. He said to them, "As my Father has sent me, I send you" (John 20:21). This statement applies to every Christian, the young and not-so-young. Jesus' expectation was for the apostles to continue the mission He founded and pass it on to the next generation of believers. On the day of Pentecost three thousand souls were added to the church (Acts 2:41). The continuation of the mission and growth of the church rely on the feet, hands, and voices of the Christians in every aspect of life, including physical health, family, work, finances, spirituality, and mental health in a society such as ours. The work of mission is not limited to the clergy, but for every Christian trying to be involved in some way. These Bible-based concepts are in the form of prayers to inspire Christians, who are reluctant, to get engaged and be active in fulfilling the needs in leading souls to Jesus Christ. Helping pew-warmers, observers, onlookers, gossipers, and critics take an interest in mission and winning souls for Jesus is necessary for the spread of the gospel of Jesus Christ. Turning sinners away from their wicked ways covers a multitude of sins (James 5:20). Discussing, understanding, and utilizing these Bible-based concepts have the potential of making living conditions in our society better. These concepts modify, renew, and transform the hearts and minds of human beings to be more like Jesus. Altering bad conduct and developing self-control will do more to promote a safe and secure society than making more laws, building more prisons, and training more police officers.
