There has been growing attention to, and participation in, the safeguarding of China's intangible cultural heritage among the general population of China, as a result of promotion efforts and scientific development in the caring and safeguarding of China's Intangible Heritage. Preserving China's intangible cultural heritage has become an important issue in cultural circles, and also Chinese society in general. In the process of modernization people have come to realize that, as a result of changes to the environment they live in, the alterations to their life styles and society's ways of production, we are faced with the reality that a huge amount of China's intangible cultural heritage of traditional Chinese agricultural society is disappearing rapidly. This reality will bring an irreversible loss for the future we see evolving in front of us. Hence, it is now a common consensus in our society that an all-out effort to safeguard our intangible cultural heritage, especially on the front of bringing awareness to our younger generation to the importance of learning and preserving the richness and preciousness of China's cultural traditions
