But when I was mentoring executives during their EMBA or on the job, I could not find a single simple manual about how to apply these concepts to real life. My book is a manual that gives you the steps towards building a strategy. It can also be used as a checklist to assess an existing strategy. It has been compiled for people with years of experience in their function who are relatively new to being involved in a company-wide strategy creation process. At the core, this book is about customer needs and competitive advantage. I have seen courses focus on one or the other.
