Wistful Winter

With its bare trees, hushed blankets of white, and icy slate-coloured skies, the winter season encapsulates feelings of isolation, reflection, and melancholy longing. Christmas and New Year's Eve come and go, leaving an empty sort of hole and ever-present snow. Many find themselves longing, wishing, reminiscing - curled up inside their blankets and by fires just hoping to get through to the other side of Spring. This wistfulness we may feel watching the winter storm from our window is valid, but perhaps we are not alone, and genuine connection can help us heal.
