This book is a collection of poems that segues to the ups & downs, the good & the bad of romantics between two lovers. This collection is an outward expression of the inner plight of Kennedi and the turmoil of a long distance relationship. Meanwhile, a not so distant relationship, her marriage, is at a revolting end. Throughout the collection, she expresses her love for one, while loathing the inevitable of the other. She's very explicit at times, making sure to convey to the reader exactly how she feels. Kennedi falls in love while trying not to. It was all suppose to be just a game. She was never to catch feelings but here we are. Now, in her head, Kennedi feels as though she cannot manage without Miles; however, her heart knows differently. Does Kennedi just move on with her life and forget that this relationship ever existed? I don't know, you tell me.
