Queerness and culture intersect in all of us, and each of us have experienced this intersection. Some cultures clash with queerness, labeling us as wrong or not normal. Others may experience how their culture embraces their queerness. We may even have a connection to how queerness was celebrated in the past but is vilified now due to cultural change, colonization and other shifts that arrived from outside our culture.
