OLD MAN ALONE is about Bruno Chandler, an elderly, timorous introvert, confronted with a sky-high hike in his property taxes on his modest Philadelphia domicile. The story follows the shifts necessary for older people on fixed incomes and Bruno's chance peripheral involvement in a world of vagabond leftists. It is also the story of a city in some parts crumbling to pieces, even as it rapidly gentrifies, and of one solitary soul navigating through this debris through multiple catastrophes and unexpected acquaintances, at the end of his life.
