David Millard has ministered to special needs in his home church for almost 50 years. He is the lead teacher of the Good Shepherd Ministry at First Baptist Church in New Philadelphia, Ohio. David and his wife Pattie have been in charge of that ministry since the early 90's. David and Pattie have been married almost 35 years. They have a married daughter, Lauren. David worked vocationally with special needs for over 40 years before retiring in 2024. David authored the first book, Joining Hands and Hearts Volume 1. David developed the Learning, Exploring & Sharing concept of teaching a number of years ago and writes all of the curriculum for The Good Shepherd Ministry. David would be glad to assist in any way he can. Brian Leslie has served in the special needs ministry at First Baptist Church, New Philadelphia, Ohio for over 9 years. He is the co-teacher of The Good Shepherd Ministry. Brian is a native of Tuscarawas County, Ohio. Brian and his wife Tina have been married over 25 years and have a married daughter Brianna, and a son Brandon. He is a grandpa to two grandsons, Brycen and Oliver and a third grandchild is on the way. Brian works vocationally as an HVAC Technician. He loves to fish and spend time with his family. Brian enjoys teaching special needs individuals and has worked vocationally in the past for an area agency that serves special needs adults. This is Brian's first venture in writing and publishing. Brian is more than willing to assist anyone that has questions in the area of special needs ministry. Brian would welcome any opportunity to help with new ministries.
