A certain Thomas Carlyle lamented "Why did not somebody teach me the constellations, and make me at home in the starry Heaven's, which are always overhead, and which I don't know half to this day?"The names and titles of the stars come chiefly from the Arabs, whose desert life and clear skies made them familiar with the stars. The Arabic astronomer Al Biruni reveals this for us, with this quote, "He whose roof is Heaven, who has no other cover, over whom the stars continually rise and set in one and the same course, makes the beginnings of his affairs and his knowledge of time depend upon them." Both Creation and the believers walk with God to Eternal life all begin with a simple beginning, This momentous "Beginning" is that "Birthing" process that has three processes; - Conception, Birthing and Development. At each stage the enemy of our soul awaits to deceive us and turn us away and it is when we reach the development stage that the difficulty really sets in. There are so many choices available and each are so closely related to the other, who can say which is the best for my soul? If you can answer this one simple question honestly, "Whom do you say Jesus is?"And if your answer is, "I have heard with mine own ears, I have seen with mine own eyes, Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God,"Then blessed art thou for only the Father can reveal this to you. This is a revelation that can never be revealed by flesh and blood through false religions that always fail. The Scripture opens with the revelation that "In the Beginning God created" a number of things over a period of seven days. These days are God's days and they consist of "the evening and the morning," an equal period of both darkness and light. " And the evening and the morning were the first day." David sang his best Psalms while sitting under the night sky, observing the stars, for to him they revealed the greatest of his God the best. "When I consider thy heavens, the work of thy fingers, the moon and the stars, which thou hast ordained; What is man, that thou art mindful of him?" Yet we remain challenged in our development by these Words. Job 38:33 Knowest thou the ordinances of heaven? canst thou set the dominion thereof in the earth? The Mazzaroth (Zodiac) with its Twelve Constellations have been given to break down the Light of God to reveal His patterns, His structure, His order, everything He has placed within Creation for its governance. The stars are the only Heavenly body that shine in both day and night, it is the stars that cover not just the whole entire Earth, but the Heavens also. It is the stars that the Lord rolls up like a sheet and uses them to make a tent so He can sit and behold His beloved Creation. It is the Light that reveals His love toward all of His Creation, it is the stars that convey that Light to all on this Earth at all times revealing His desires and ordinances to all of Creation. From the beginning of Jesus' ministry we see events unfolding.Jesus knew that by establishing the governance of the Father here on Earth that darkness would be no match for it. The very first manifestation at the start of His ministry is the Great Light that springs up wherever He goes. Mat 4:16 The people which sat in darkness saw great light; and to them which sat in the region and shadow of death light is sprung up. Mat 4:17 From that time Jesus began to preach, and to say, Repent: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand. As Doctor Samuel Johnson wrote in the preface of his Dictionary. "That one enquiry only gave occasion to another, that book referred to book, that to search was not always to find, and to find was not always to be informed."From those humble beginnings the Holy Spirit takes us on a journey guided by the stars to enter into that Kingdom which we see by faith.
