This book is about stress and mental health at work. I became very stressed and burned out due to the loss of my mother on May 9th, 2024. I was still trying to work an 8:00 to 5:00 with high demands in production and less compassionand understanding from management. I found myself becoming very irritated, always tired, burned out with anxiety and depression. I was only getting three hours of sleep at night, just tossing and turning and missing meals while neglecting myself and my mental health. My job became more and more stressful and at that moment I was over it. I immediately sat up in bed and started writing about my feelings, emotions and stress I was experiencing at work. As days and weeks passed by, I was falling deeper and deeper into a depression stage and it was starting to take over my daily routine. I reached out for help to my church, my counselor, my pastor and therapist for counseling on dealing with stress at work while at the same time grieving over a loss of a loved one. My family, my daughter, my grandkids, my siblings along with my aunt where very supportive to me as we are all trying to strength ourselves from the loss of our Queen. Stress at work can play a major role with your mental health and it's not a bad thing to seek help in dealing with your feelings and emotions.
