Familias da Ilha Terceira - Vol. II (3.a edição): Francisco Ferreira Dormonde e Dona Maria de Lemos

A segunda mulher de Francisco Ferreira Dormonde, Dona Maria de Lemos, faz parte também de uma familia nobre de São Sebastião (cf. Vol. II, D1). Tiveram cinco filhos que viverão com Dona Maria nas Quatro Ribeiras onde instalou-se com seu segundo marido, o Capitão Bento Godinho da Costa (cf. Vol. II, D1 1.2).Os dois primeiros filhos, Mateus e Barnabe, parecem ter morar em Angra onde ocupam diversos postos no Castelo São João Baptista. Os tres seguintes filhos, tiveram larga descendencia, especialmente José Ferreira de Ormonde ( 9). No fim do século XVIII, quase a metade dos batismos e dos casamentos de Quatro Ribeiras referem-se a um descendente deste José.+ Familias dos cônjugues: - Familia de Antônio de LEMOS de FARIA- Familia de Manoel de ANDRADE FAGUNDES e Barbara de OLIVEIRA PEREIRA- Familia de Jorge CAMELO e Catarina FERNANDES_________________The second wife of Francisco Ferreira Dormonde, Dona Maria de Lemos also belongs to a noble family of São Sebastião (cf. Vol. II, D1). They had five sons which lived in Quatro Ribeiras where their mother settled with her second husband, Captain Bento Godinho da Costa, with whom she had other children (cf. Vol. II, D1 1.2).The first two children, Mateus and Barnabé, seem to have resided at Angra where they hold various positions in the São João Batista fortress, without leaving descendants. The three others sons had a lot of descendants, specialy José Ferreira de Ormonde ( 9). Quatro Ribeiras is thus the second largest nucleus of the Ferreira Ormonde family. At the end of the 18th century, almost half of the marriages and baptisms in Quatro Ribeiras relate to a descendant of the last three sons, primarily of José+ Spouse families: - Family of Antônio de LEMOS de FARIA- Family of Manoel de ANDRADE FAGUNDES e Barbara de OLIVEIRA PEREIRA- Family of Jorge CAMELO e Catarina FERNANDES
