Mad Mic: The Live Comedy Stage Play

"Mad Mic" is a real-time, one-hour dive into the gloriously unhinged world of "The Cosmic Frequency," a fictional underground rock radio station in 1975. The entire play unfolds in their cramped, analog control room, a monument to questionable interior design and barely-functioning electronics. At the helm is "Captain" Jack Flash, a DJ who's less "Captain" and more "philosophical cruise director," spinning vinyl with ramblings so deep they might just be puddles. He's "supported" by his razor-sharp sidekick, "Roxie" Starr, whose wit is faster than a runaway tape deck and whose eye-rolls could power a small city. Holding the tattered fabric of reality together, barely, is Harold "The Herald" Finch, the station's newsman, whose news desk is a stack of old concert flyers and whose biggest fear is accidentally saying "groovy" on air.
