Hear to Listen

In our fast-paced world, it's easy to hear without truly listening. But Scripture calls us to a deeper kind of hearing-one that leads to understanding, obedience, and transformation. To hear to listen means to tune our hearts and minds to God's voice with the intention of responding. This devotional reminds us that true listening begins with a posture of humility and reverence. When we listen to God's Word, we are not merely processing sounds or reading text-we are learning from Him, loving His truth, and valuing what He says as life-giving and essential. Jesus often said, "He who has ears to hear, let him hear," pointing to the difference between hearing with the ears and listening with the heart.
