Caregiving Tips & Stories is a how-to-self-help-caregiver's memoir. If you are about to embark on elder care for your parents or other older loved ones, this book is for you. The book is chock-full of health tips and helpful remedies. As people age, physical ailments can pile up. That's why, after five years of being the sole caregiver for my octogenarian parents, I decided to compile the many caretaker tips that I've learned and pass them along to others who might be in search of some helpful suggestions. Heart attack, urinary tract infection, hip fracture, osteoporosis, neuropathy, arthritis and atrial fibrillation? This book covers those topics and more. It's also a book about artistic survival. A how-to-take-care-of-yourself while taking care of others road map. It's easy to lose ourselves in the pursuit of caregiving. But, in the middle of shopping, cooking, entertaining, encouraging, bathing and nursing others, we simply must find ways to nurture our own passion projects and caretake ourselves. I am not a medical professional, but I've advocated for my parents in many medical settings and it is my great pleasure to pass along the excellent advice that I've been given along the way to you, the reader, with the hope that something in this book makes your caregiving journey a bit easier.
