Cog is a Dog

Kate, age 8 lives with her mother, brother, and her stepdad on a remote farm in the Welsh Marches. One day, while seeking shelter from a thunderstorm she comes upon a strange creature, half dog and half cat cowering in the corner of a barn. She decides to befriend it little knowing that it is a deviously designed robot, part of a plot to steal the priceless historic Mappa Mundi from the library in Hereford Catherdral. The story follows her efforts to train the creature that she has named Cog. The story is full of humour and suspense, leading up to a dramatic ending.
